The Compliance tab (Assured Periodic Tenancies only) tracks the checks and certificates you need for this tenancy, and shows a live count such as "3 of 6 requirements complete."
Compliance Documents
Each required document the Written Statement of Terms, EPC, Gas Safety Record, EICR, and Prescribed Information shows its own status and the right action:
View if it's already sent,
Upload & Share if it's not on file yet, or
Share if it's on file but not yet sent.
Right to Rent
You must check that every adult tenant has the right to rent in the UK, before the tenancy begins. This is checked per person, not per tenancy, so a joint tenancy needs a check for each tenant.
To Record a Check:
On the Compliance tab (or the tenant's row on Tenancy details, for joint tenancies), select Record check.
Enter the tenant's details: name, date of birth, nationality, document type and reference, expiry date, and how you checked it (in person, a certified digital check, or the Home Office online service).
Save the check.
Each person's status shows as one of:
Status | What it means |

Verified | Confirmed, with no time limit |
Limited | Confirmed, but time-limited a follow-up date is set |
Expiring | A limited right is approaching its follow-up date |
Unverified | No check recorded yet |
Not applicable | Right to Rent doesn't apply to this tenancy type |
Tip
If a tenant's right to rent is time-limited, RentalBux automatically schedules a follow-up check and shows a warning banner as the date approaches. Re-check before it lapses this protects your legal defence against a penalty.
