1. LICENCES AND ATTRIBUTIONS
RentalBux uses certain datasets published by UK public bodies to power features in the product. This page sets out that material, the licences we rely on, and the attribution statements those licences require.
2. ONS POSTCODE DIRECTORY
We use the ONS Postcode Directory, published by the Office for National Statistics on the Open Geography Portal, to derive location details from property postcodes entered by our users. These include the local authority a property sits in, the nation it belongs to, and whether it falls within Greater London. RentalBux uses these details to apply the correct tenancy classification rules, resolve addresses accurately, and pre-fill local authority information on compliance records.
We hold our own copy of the directory and refresh it with each quarterly release. We use the Great Britain data only. Northern Ireland postcode data is not included.
The directory is used under the Open Government Licence v3.0. As the licence requires, we acknowledge the intellectual property contained in the directory with the following statements:
