Changing your RentalBux plan is straightforward and takes about two minutes. Here's exactly how to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel — and what happens to your data in each case.
Getting to your subscription settings
Go to the See Plans section in your sidebar.
Or click on Settings in the main Dashboard and click on Subscription.
You'll see your current plan, your next billing date, and options for upgrade/add-ons to add to your plan.
Upgrading your plan (Add-ons)
Upgrading takes effect immediately. To upgrade, simply add what you want: more property units, businesses, a Partnership, or a Limited Company.
Here's what happens:
You get instant access to all features included in your new plan.
Billing is pro-rated: if you upgrade mid-billing cycle, you only pay for the remaining days at the new rate. Your next full billing date stays the same.
To upgrade/add-on:
Click on See Plans on the sidebar.
Select the addons you want to add.
Confirm your payment details (you can update your card here too).
Click Confirm & Pay. Done.
Downgrading your plan
Downgrading is not allowed currently in RentalBux. You will need to contact RentalBux support for assistance. If your new plan has lower limits (e.g. moving from Landlord to Free, which allows only one property), contact RentalBux to decide which property to retain on the free plan.
Cancelling your subscription. What happens to your data if you cancel?
To cancel your subscription, contact Rentalbux. Your subscription will be cancelled, and your account will be disabled. After that, your account switches to a read-only state — you can still log in and view all your data, download reports, and export records. Nothing is deleted.
Your data is retained for 7 years after account closure (in line with HMRC record-keeping requirements). You can export a complete copy of your data at any time during this period. After 7 years, data is deleted in accordance with GDPR.
Reactivating a cancelled account
Changed your mind? Reactivation is simple:
Log in with your existing credentials.
Go to Subscription.
Click Reactivate Account and choose a plan.
Your data, property records, transaction history, and documents are all exactly as you left them.
Billing questions
RentalBux billing runs on a monthly cycle. There's no annual commitment or lock-in. If you have a billing query — unexpected charge, payment failure, or VAT question — email support@rentalbux.com with your account email and billing date.
