What Gets Sent to HMRC
Learn about Making Tax Digital (MTD) and understand what information RentalBux automatically sends to HMRC on your behalf, ensuring compliance with digital record-keeping and quarterly reporting requirements.
What is Making Tax Digital (MTD)?
MTD is HMRC's initiative requiring digital record-keeping and quarterly tax reporting. No more paper returns or yearly self-assessments for property and business income.
Your MTD Obligations
Under Making Tax Digital, you are required to:
- Keep digital records of all income and expenses
- Submit quarterly updates (every 3 months) via HMRC-recognised software
- Submit a final declaration at year-end
- Maintain records for at least 5 years
RentalBux handles all of this automatically. You just need to keep your records up to date. The system will generate and submit your quarterly updates and final declaration directly to HMRC through the Making Tax Digital gateway, ensuring you remain compliant without the manual effort.
